The Southern Nevada Health District shut down the Bounty Hunter Bar with an "Immediate Closure" ruling. They discovered an imminent health hazard of no potable water during an an April 15 routine inspection. In addition they awarded 11 other demerits for issues related to toxic items and hand washing.

In the previous 28 inspections of the bar dating back to 1997, the SNHD had awarded 27 A grades and one B.

The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
