Sin City is home to a lot of restaurants and bars, but there are tons of hidden gems that the majority of Las Vegans aren't unearthing. Erik Chudy works as an architect with one goal in mind — finding the perfect burger in Vegas. He documents his quest on Vegas Burger Blog, where he has traveled to dives such as the Dispensary Lounge and strictly burger joints like Burger Bar. He's found surprises off-Strip and disappointments at places where the burgers are supposed to be all that and a stick of butter. Here he shares his three favorite burgers, all off-Strip.

What dishes are most memorable?
Bachi Burger — The first burger I ever ate there and the one I still eat most is Kiki's Burger; the combination of Japanese mushrooms and sweet onion marmalade can't be beat. Not to mention their buns are the best on any burger in town, and the patties are charred perfectly every time with just the right amount of pink inside. I like their fries but I love the Pork Belly Steamed Buns even more; the pork belly is juicy with a hint of crispiness, and I can't get enough of the hoisin barbecue sauce. Because of this, our ritual has become an order of the steamed buns as an appetizer and just a burger for my main course. While I need fries with almost any burger I eat in town, this one is so good that it can be eaten it by itself.
DW Bistro — Their New Mexican-style green chile cheeseburger has been a bit inconsistent the several times I've eaten it, but never has it been less than fantastic. The abundant cheese and sauce on top make it a messy and juicy burger no matter how the meat is cooked, the green chiles are unique and delicious, but the star for me is the jalapeño bacon; also found in their amazing Bloody Mary, this bacon is perfectly crispy with just the right hint of heat. If I'm not in a burger mood, my go-to meal is the New Mexican-style slow-cooked pork. Their sweet NM red chile sauce and pork combination is so savory that I have a hard time deviating and trying something new.
View Wine Bar — The burger! Unfortunately (or fortunately) the burger is so good that I haven't eaten anything else here yet, although there are some great looking items on the menu.
Why do you enjoy going there?
Bachi Burger — Unlike many restaurants in town where I like to discover new things, I frequent Bachi because it is consistent every time and I know exactly what I'm getting. Their service can be spotty depending on the time of day, but this is also consistent so I already know what to expect. They also have some fun Japanese beers we like to sample on occasion.
DW Bistro — Bryce and the entire staff always treat us well when we're in there, and despite its off-Strip location I always feel like I'm part of some cool local scene. There's nothing better than rolling out of bed and coming in for brunch on Sundays to see what specials are in store for us that day.
View Wine Bar — Between my constantly growing burger to-do list and strange diets, it's often difficult for me to do repeat burger visits even at places that blow me away. I've only been here a couple times so far, and I'm not too crazy with Tivoli Village as a whole or the restaurant space, but I'm willing to go as often as I can to keep this burger around. I've also been sending everyone I can to try their food and get the word out, so hopefully it will stick around long enough for me to discover a few more items here.
