MANDALAY BAY — Fleur by Hubert Keller plans to host an intimate beer pairing dinner with Lagunitas Brewing Co. on Friday, April 26, at 7 p.m. Mandalay Bay's director of food and beverage and Nevada's first female cicerone Sarah Johnson, along with Ron Lindenbusch from Lagunitas will guide guests through the dinner as they explain the inspiration behind each pairing. The five-course dinner includes seared Cajun albacore with yuzu soy vinaigrette and garlic chips paired with Censored Rich Copper Ale; Wagyu beef carpaccio with truffle vinaigrette and garlic chips paired with Little Sumpin' Ale, loup de mere Veracruz style with caper beurre blanc paired with Lagunitas IPA, Lagunitas-braised short ribs with celery root mousse and coffee foam paired with Wilco Tango Foxtrot and an Imperial Stout bacon beer float. NEW YORK-NEW YORK — The resort hosts its 16th annual qualifying event for the 98th Annual Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, N.Y. The male and female winners of the 3 p.m. main event on Saturday, April 20, will be crowned "Nevada Hot Dog Eating Champions" and will earn the right to represent Las Vegas in the July 4th finals.
